Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end biotech initiative projects in the European and African markets;
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation strategies;
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement risk mitigation strategies;
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget;
- Coordinate cross-functional teams, including R&D, regulatory affairs, quality, and commercial functions.
Scientific and Technical Oversight:
- Apply scientific expertise to evaluate project feasibility and technical approaches;
- Liaise with research institutes, laboratories, and scientific partners in Europe and Africa;
- nsure compliance with scientific standards and best practices;
- Analyze and interpret scientific data and research outcomes.
Stakeholder Management:
- Build and maintain relationships with partners, government bodies, supervisory and regulatory authorities, and local communities;
- Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders;
- Facilitate communication between the Swiss office and African operations;
- Represent the company at scientific conferences and partnership meetings in Africa.
Regulatory Affairs and Compliance:
- Ensure projects comply with Swiss, European, and African regulatory requirements;
- Coordinate with regulatory affairs teams to obtain approvals and prepare documentation;
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation and reporting.
Requirements:
- Master's degree or PhD in Biotechnology, Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related life sciences field;
- Minimum 5 years of project management experience in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or life sciences industry;
- Proven experience managing projects in African markets (minimum 3 years);
- PMP certification or equivalent project management certification preferred;
- In-depth understanding of biotech R&D processes and product development lifecycle;
- Experience working with regulatory frameworks in African countries;
- Fluent in English (written and spoken); French language skills will be an advantage;
- Willingness to travel, including to Africa.
