The Research Office informs the EPFL research community on funding opportunities and provides support with application processes and contracting of public and not-profit funding. It also advices on ethical issues in research projects and supports ethical approval processes.
As Programme Manager within the team of national and non-for-profit funding, your main mission will be to provide support to EPFL researchers for their grant applications and as well as general grant management.
Working within the National and Non"‘for"‘Profit Funding team, you will contribute to strengthening and diversifying EPFL researchers' funding activities, with a particular focus on Swiss funding programmes (e.g. SNSF, Innosuisse, Federal Offices, non"‘profit foundations).
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Contributing to the development and diversification of EPFL researchers' funding portfolios by supporting access to a broad range of Swiss funding opportunities.
- Promoting funding opportunities and advising researchers on funding strategies and searches through targeted communications, workshops, and guidance materials.
- Advising and supporting researchers during the grant application phase, helping ensure alignment with funder requirements and EPFL rules related to eligibility, ethics, and budgeting.
- Ensuring robust compliance of awarded research projects according to ethical, legal, and regulatory requirements, as well as applying and upholding EPFL rules and coordinating closely with central services, faculty members, and stakeholders as required.
- Contributing to transversal activities of the Research Office and supporting team heads and unit managers as required.
- Master's degree (or equivalent)
- Experience in grant management and/or research funding support.
- Solution"‘oriented approach, with the ability to interact effectively with a wide range of stakeholders at different organisational levels.
- Ability to work proactively and autonomously, while collaborating well within a team.
- Strong organisational skills and an interest in providing high"‘quality support.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and French; German is an asset.
