For our Motion, Power, Sensing Division site based in Fribourg, we are currently looking for a
Area Sales Manager Europe & Africa
The Position
As “Area Sales Manager Europe & Africa“, you lead, coordinate, motivate and support the Sales and the Customer Support teams in Europe and Africa. You also ensure the maximization of the business’ operating performances in the assigned territories meeting the financial goals in terms of sales, orders and profit.
The main responsibilities for this role are as follows:

Manage and coordinate the sales effort to maximize Parker Meggitt s operating performance in the assigned region for the Energy business and vibro-meter’s products.

Develop regional plans and manage the strategic key accounts in the assigned region and coordinate with global key account management to ensure customers’ satisfaction in accordance with Parker strategy.

Represent the first point of contact in the assigned region for strategic key account(s) coordinating on a global basis with strategic key account managers and other regional Sales Managers.

Monitor and report on Sales, Orders and profits in the region.

Support sales forecasts with finance and supply chain (SIOP).

Follow up with and support Customer Service team to facilitate the process of order processing and order acknowledgments.

Define the distribution strategy in existing or new territories in compliance with due diligence and trade compliance company policies.

Collaborates with the Contract Manager to ensure the preparation and the finalization of the necessary contractual documentation.

Manage staff recruitment, performance, development, talent and training processes to ensure the team competencies and capabilities are aligned with the business needs.
Your Profile
-
University Degree (Bachelor or Master) in Engineering/Technical field with a strong technical background in rotating equipment preferably in Energy Business.

15 years’ experience in Energy with at least 10years experience in Sales of technical equipment and hardware and software solutions.

Experience in leading a sales team based in different countries.

Open-minded with excellent interpersonal skills and the willingness to collaborate with various stakeholders

Ability to develop strategic plans to grow the business and to consistently achieve results

Results and customer focus with excellent communication and negotiation skills

Resilient, solution-oriented and passionate

Ability to build strong-identity teams to drive engagement

Fluency in English with ideally good command of French. Proficiency in Italian and/or German will constitute a plus.
The Position is based on site in Fribourg with around 30% travel to other Division sites or customers in Europe.
