Translator (English - French)

International organization based in Geneva.

Description

• Translate documents from English to French, coordinating with external contractors for larger projects.
• Translate short texts and documents as needed to meet urgent deadlines.
• Review and proofread French translations by internal and external translators to ensure quality.
• Provide feedback and training to translators, both internal and external.
• Post-edit AI-generated translations of funding requests and other internal-use documents to expedite processes and reduce costs.
• Collaborate with client teams to clarify content and terminology.
• Ensure translated documents maintain consistent messaging aligned with the organization's guidelines.
• Manage and update the French translation database to enhance speed and consistency among contractors and in-house translators.
• Research, test, and implement new translation tools.

Profile

• At least 10 years of experience as a translator/reviser, ideally within the health, science, financial, or legal sectors.

• Expert proficiency in computer-assisted translation (CAT) tools.

• Proven experience in managing glossaries and translation memories.

Job Offer
