For our headquarters in Losone, we are looking for a Quality Control Operator - Mechanical / Metrologist.
Your main tasks
Your main task will be to perform dimensional and visual checks on mechanical components according to technical drawings and specifications, using traditional measuring instruments and metrological equipment. You will also be responsible for performing checks using a 3D coordinate measuring machine (CMM), using predefined programs, and for calibrating measuring instruments and keeping the relevant documentation up to date.
The main tasks in this role are:
- Performing dimensional checks on mechanical components during incoming inspection, production, and final inspection, using traditional measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, comparators, etc.)
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings and dimensional specifications
- Performing advanced metrological measurements (e.g., altimeters, roughness testers, etc.)
- Use the CMM machine to run pre-set control programs
- Compile quality control reports
- Perform internal calibration of instruments according to company procedures
- Keep the calibration register up to date and check the validity of the instruments
- Operate in compliance with quality procedures and current regulations (e.g., ISO 9001)
- Perform checks even in clean rooms
Your profile
The requirements for performing these tasks are as follows:
- Basic technical training (e.g., diploma in mechanics, micromechanics, etc.)
- Ability to read technical drawings and knowledge of geometric tolerances
- Skills in the use of traditional measuring instruments
- Willingness to work in a clean room environment, following the relevant procedures and rules of conduct.
- Basic computer skills (Office package/...)
- Previous experience in quality control or mechanical production environments
- Accuracy, reliability, quality orientation
Preferred requirements include experience with 3D measuring machines (CMM) and/or dimensional analysis software (without programming), experience in regulated sectors (e.g., medical, aerospace, watchmaking), and/or experience in a sterile environment (clean room).
