A stable IT environment does not arise by itself. As a Modern Workplace Engineer, you keep Microsoft 365 (M365) and the infrastructure under control and think one step ahead. You can expect a varied role between operations, security, and projects. Together with the team and external partners, you actively shape the IT.
Responsibilities:
You manage the network infrastructure based on Cisco together with the team and continuously develop it further.
You administer the M365 environment with Intune, Entra ID, Exchange Online, and Active Directory and are responsible for identity and access management (IAM).
As a point of contact in 2nd level support, you analyse and resolve faults and coordinate complex cases with partners and manufacturers.
Furthermore, you monitor endpoint, backup, virtualisation, and security solutions such as Microsoft Defender.
In addition, you contribute your know-how to infrastructure and digitalisation projects and further develop the ITSM platform and IT processes.
You also maintain technical documentation and standards and occasionally support the hotline and on-call service.
Qualifications:
You have an EFZ IT education in platform development or a comparable qualification and several years of experience in system engineering.
You feel at home in the Microsoft environment and are well versed in Microsoft 365, Intune, Exchange Online, and Active Directory.
You bring experience in client and endpoint management, ideally also knowledge of VMware and Veeam.
You are already familiar with Cisco networks or want to develop specifically in this area.
You work analytically, structured, and independently and follow security topics such as Microsoft Defender with curiosity.
Additionally, you convince with team spirit and helpfulness and communicate confidently in German as well as fluently in English.
