For our client, an established Swiss company in the field of building automation, control technology and technical plant solutions, we are looking for an experienced and professionally competent individual as Senior Electrical Designer Control Technology / Building Automation 80-100% (m/f) in the Zug ZG area.
In this role, you will take on demanding tasks in the electrical design of control and automation solutions. You create electrical schematics, define electrical components and ensure that technical documents are implemented cleanly, in accordance with standards and practically.

- Electrical design for control systems, control cabinets and automation solutions in the building technology environment
- Designing controls, regulators, sensors, actuators, drives, safety components and field devices
- Creating manufacturing and assembly documents for control construction, control cabinet construction, wiring and plant installation
- Technical clarifications with project management, automation, control construction, assembly, purchasing and external partners
- Adapting and optimising existing electrical schematics during conversions, expansions or modernisations
- Checking schematics for function, completeness, standards, feasibility and service friendliness
- Supporting commissioning, technical queries, fault analyses and documentation adjustments
- Maintaining article data, macros, templates, project documents and technical standards
- Participating in the improvement of engineering processes, documentation quality and internal procedures
Ideally, you bring:
- Completed training as an automation technician, electrical planner, electrical designer, electrical installer with control technology experience or comparable electrical engineering training
- Several years of experience in electrical design, control technology, building automation, control cabinet construction or technical building equipment
- Good knowledge of EPLAN P8, AutoCAD Electrical or a comparable ECAD system
- Confident handling of electrical schematics, terminal plans, cable lists, parts lists and technical documentation
- Good understanding of controls, regulators, sensors, actuators, drives, control cabinets and field devices
- Experience in HVAC, energy systems, control technology or building automation is an advantage
- Knowledge of electrical standards, safety requirements and practical documentation
- Ability to capture technical requirements and translate them into clean, understandable engineering documents
- Precise, structured and quality-conscious working method
- Good German language skills in spoken and written form

Profile
You have solid experience in electrical design and understand how technical documents are practically implemented in control construction, assembly and commissioning. You work precisely, think structurally and enjoy clean technical planning.Ideally, you bring:
- Completed training as an automation technician, electrical planner, electrical designer, electrical installer with control technology experience or comparable electrical engineering training
- Several years of experience in electrical design, control technology, building automation, control cabinet construction or technical building equipment
- Good knowledge of EPLAN P8, AutoCAD Electrical or a comparable ECAD system
