IT System Engineer (m/f/d)
Role:
You don’t just want to manage complex IT infrastructures, but to technically develop them further? We are looking for an experienced Systems Engineer who operates modern Windows and cloud environments, influences architectural decisions, and accompanies infrastructure projects from idea to implementation.
Responsibilities:
Responsibility for stable and secure on-premises, cloud, and hybrid infrastructures
Operation and further development of modern Microsoft system landscapes
Planning and implementation of technical infrastructure projects
Development of scalable system architectures for demanding IT environments
Administration and optimisation of Windows Server, Microsoft 365, and virtualisation platforms
Establishment and further development of backup, recovery, and disaster recovery concepts
Technical implementation of security requirements within the infrastructure
Automation of recurring operational processes with modern scripting and automation approaches
Analysis of complex system problems and sustainable optimisation of the operating environment
Creation of technical concepts, architectural documents, and operational documentation
Participation in migrations, modernisations, and technological transformation projects
Support with demanding support and escalation issues
Continuous improvement of stability, performance, security, and degree of automation
Qualifications:
Education or further training in computer science, system engineering, or comparable field
Several years of experience as a Windows System Engineer or Infrastructure Engineer
Solid practical experience in building and operating complex IT infrastructures
Very good knowledge of Windows Client and Windows Server
Experience with Microsoft 365, Intune, Microsoft Entra ID, and Exchange Online
Good knowledge of VMware and virtualisation
Experience with Veeam and modern backup and recovery concepts
Basic knowledge of network technologies and enterprise networking
Ideally experience with Citrix or firewall technologies
Interest in cloud technologies, automation, and modern infrastructure
Analytical and solution-oriented working style
Willingness to take responsibility for technical matters
