Senior Accountant (m/f/d)

Role:
In this role, the person prepared monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements according to Swiss GAAP FER and IFRS and was responsible for reporting the half-year and annual financial statements to the parent company. They prepared ad-hoc analyses, evaluations and reports and contributed to consolidation. They also coordinated and managed various projects and sub-projects in the area of accounting & financial reporting and supported the local controlling team as well as budgeting. They conducted and documented internal financial controls (ICS), managed cash and were the contact person for internal and external audits. Additionally, they contributed to the further development and optimisation of financial systems and processes.
Responsibilities:
- Preparation of monthly, quarterly & annual financial statements according to Swiss GAAP FER & IFRS
- Reporting of half-year and annual financial statements to the parent company
- Preparation of ad-hoc analyses, evaluations and reports
- Participation in consolidation
- Coordination and management of various projects & sub-projects in the area of accounting & financial reporting
- Support of the local controlling team
- Participation in budgeting
- Execution and documentation of internal financial controls (ICS)
- Cash management
- Contact person for internal and external audits
- Further development and optimisation of financial systems and processes
Qualifications:
- Completed commercial training
- Further education in finance and accounting (professional certificate or degree with a focus on accounting)
- At least 5 years of experience in a comparable position
- Expertise in Swiss GAAP FER and IFRS
- Very good Excel skills as well as SAP
- Fluent German skills and good English skills
