Service Manager WLAN & Network Services
- 17 June 2026
- 100%
- Permanent position

About the job
A stable network is not just background technology for us. It ensures that clinics, medical technology, communication, alerting, and digital processes function reliably. WLAN is particularly business-critical in the hospital environment: mobile clinical work, medical devices, location services, and monitoring depend on a stable connection. We are responsible for one of the larger WLAN environments in Switzerland with over 6,000 access points. The technical operation of our network services is carried out by external providers. In this role, you ensure that requirements from hospital operations are understood, providers are managed properly, and viable solutions are implemented.
What to expect
- You take primary responsibility for the WLAN service and develop it further in terms of quality, availability, and service management
- You manage our external providers in a partnership-based, clear, and binding manner
- You capture requirements from clinics, medical technology, business services, and ICT and translate them into understandable assignments for the provider
- You professionally assess technical solution proposals in the WLAN and network environment and ensure they fit the hospital reality
- In incidents, problems, changes, and service transitions, you ensure proper coordination, clear communication, and sustainable improvements
- You accompany or represent topics around LAN, WAN, and SD-WAN as needed together with the responsible specialists
What you bring
- Training in computer science or a comparable qualification with relevant practical experience
- Several years of experience in the network environment, ideally with WLAN in a larger enterprise, campus, or hospital environment
- Good understanding of WLAN and network contexts, such as radio coverage, roaming, NAC, IP services, monitoring, and service quality
- Experience in service management, provider control, and handling incidents, problems, and changes
- The ability to capture, structure, and mediate requirements from the business between the specialist department, provider, and ICT
- A calm, binding, and pragmatic manner, even when operations become tight
- Experience with LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, projects, rollouts, or regulated environments is an advantage
- Very good German language skills
Our offer
- A responsible role with direct impact on hospital operations.
- A large, demanding WLAN and network environment with high criticality.
- Exciting interfaces with clinics, medical technology, security, architecture, operations, and external providers.
- The opportunity to actively improve network services without being involved in pure technical operations.
- A collegial team that values technical competence, personal responsibility, and collaboration.
- A hybrid working model with a home office component. At the same time, regular presence on site is important because requirements in hospital operations are often understood where they arise.
