Field Sales Specialist (m/f/d) - Laboratory and Production Chemistry

VWR, part of Avantor, is looking for a motivated Field Sales Specialist (m/f/d) in the sales region Switzerland. In this role, you will take on sales activities as a subject matter expert, from lead generation to closing, within the product portfolio Laboratory and Production Chemistry, Microbiology and Healthcare as well as Chromatography.

This position is best suited for dynamic and customer-oriented individuals who have solid knowledge of chemical products and laboratory processes and enjoy developing solutions for customers. We welcome both career changers and experienced sales professionals!

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week

Work model: Hybrid – flexible from home and on-site with customers (60% travel activity, overnight stays in hotels)

Work location: Switzerland region (predominantly German- and French-speaking Switzerland)

Your tasks:

• Comprehensive customer consulting and business development: Professional support of new and existing customers (on-site & virtual), identification of new sales potentials as well as acquisition of new customers and product segments to increase sales and customer satisfaction.
• Sales support and strategy implementation: Development and implementation of sales-promoting measures and the sales strategy in the respective product area in close cooperation with the regional sales teams.
• Knowledge transfer and market development: Professional support and training of the sales team, participation in marketing activities of suppliers and product groups, as well as representation of the company at trade fairs and specialist exhibitions.

Your profile:

• Completed studies or training in a scientific field (preferably chemistry, biochemistry, biotechnology or comparable)
• Relevant experience in the chemical environment as well as initial sales experience in the B2B sector; ideally, practical knowledge in microbiology and histology as well as experience in chromatography is an advantage
• Strong negotiation skills and acquisition strength combined with a high service orientation as well as a goal-oriented, independent and committed working style
• High communication and presentation skills with a dynamic, confident appearance and pronounced team spirit
• Fluent French, German and English skills, both spoken and written
• Confident handling of common IT tools (MS Office, SAP, Teams as well as AI tools)
• Driver's licence and willingness to travel
