Head Chef, Entlisberg Location

Tasks

• You take over the professional, personnel and business management of the catering department, are responsible for budget, key figures, resource planning and procurement, and develop the area proactively and economically.
• You lead, support and develop a team of around 30 employees, apprentices and interns and promote independent, competent and appreciative collaboration.
• You design all catering processes – from planning through production and logistics to quality assurance – review existing procedures, introduce new impulses and consistently drive the further development of standards and working methods.
• You ensure a high-quality, balanced and target group-appropriate catering offer for our residents, employees and guests in compliance with legal requirements.
• You organise events and, together with your team, promote a lived hospitality culture at several locations.

Profile

• Sound knowledge in community catering, large-scale production and cook-&-chill processes, various diet forms as well as hygiene, food safety and quality assurance
• Completed training as a chef EFZ with further qualification (e.g. head chef with federal diploma) as well as several years of leadership and professional experience in a larger and demanding catering operation, ideally complemented by further training in leadership, business administration or change management
• A pronounced business understanding and confidence in handling budgets, key figures and resources as well as a structured and solution-oriented working style
• Modern, clear and appreciative leadership style as well as strong communication skills, decisiveness and a convincing appearance
• Genuine interest in the people we work for every day

The Health Centre for the Elderly Entlisberg in Wollishofen in District 2 combines various care and support services under one roof. Catering, hospitality culture and a homely atmosphere make an important contribution to the quality of life of our residents. In this role, you work closely with various professional groups and actively shape the catering in a large house with around 500 colleagues.
