Tasks
Producing signage: In a small team, you are jointly responsible for the production of all signage boards required in Basel-Stadt for the safety of all road users. In addition to the regular signs, design assignments are occasionally carried out.
Installing products: Individual manufactured products that cannot be installed in the workshop are mounted directly on site. Installation takes place at various locations and in all weather conditions.
Supporting the team: As part of the signage team, you support your colleagues in preparing signage for events and construction sites. For major events, you work together with the entire team on site to ensure successful implementation.
Processing data: You prepare the data that our workshop receives as orders from various departments and then process it further. The large number of these orders requires a structured way of working. Your tasks also include managing certain stock inventories.
Profile
Experience: You have several years of professional experience with design programmes (ideally Flexi-Sign) as well as operating digital printers and cutting plotters. In addition, you have solid experience in installing various self-manufactured products.
Personality: You approach everyday tasks with a positive attitude and are always open to new things. As a team-oriented and flexible person, you are versatile and actively contribute even during extraordinary assignments.
Education: You have completed training as an Advertising Technology Designer with a Federal VET Diploma (EFZ) or a comparable basic education and bring experience in this field. Possession of a category B driving licence is an advantage.
Language: You have a confident command of the German language, both spoken and written.

The Civil Engineering Office coordinates, plans, constructs, documents and maintains roads with associated infrastructure and is responsible for public sewage systems. It is responsible for flood protection and safe traffic routes. It also coordinates the use of public spaces and is the lead authority in the approval process. It collects and disposes of waste and ensures cleanliness in the city of Basel. The Civil Engineering Office makes an important contribution to a high quality of life in Basel and is part of the Department of Construction and Transport.
