The Public Establishments for Integration (EPI) have the mission to contribute to the well-being and social and/or professional integration of people with disabilities or facing difficulties in professional and/or social integration.
The socio-professional services are responsible for assessing the physical, social and learning abilities of people with disabilities or facing integration difficulties with a view to orientation and professional reintegration. They can also provide socio-professional integration through adapted jobs and training in production workshops.
We are looking for a maître d'hôtel / socio-professional assistant in catering working full-time at the Catering Service.
Job Description- Ensure the smooth running and various activities of a cafeteria or restaurant.
- Serve meals while ensuring compliance with hygiene and food safety standards.
- Manage the cash register, carry out sales, cash handling, openings and closings (TCPOS) by applying the procedures in place.
- Guarantee the cleanliness and proper functioning of equipment and premises.
- Supervise and train people in integration and disability situations.
- Maintain positive contact with users and colleagues in line with the EPI mission.
- Plan orders according to forecasted sales flows.
- Perform administrative and IT tasks inherent to the position.
- A Federal VET Diploma (CFC) specialising in catering or an equivalent qualification.
- At least 10 years of experience in community or catering sectors.
- Experience as a maître d'hôtel or dining room manager.
- Mastery of table service, knowledge of HACCP standards.
- Continuous hours from Monday to Friday except during events at the request of management.
- Experience in supervising people with disabilities would be an asset.
- Possess strong interpersonal skills, ease in communication, a keen interest in teamwork and customer contact.
- Demonstrate organisation, versatility, reliability, rigour, initiative, a sense of responsibility and open-mindedness.
- Proficient in common office IT tools (Word, Excel).
- Fluent oral and written French.
- A driving licence (car).
- Mobility, as the catering service has 7 workplaces across the canton and a catering service.
