KIS Application Specialist (m/f/d)
The ROCKEN partner is an independent, university competence centre for paediatrics and adolescent medicine as well as for teaching and research. Around 900 employees dedicate themselves daily with their commitment and professional and scientific expertise to the medical care of patients. Thanks to the passion of the staff for their work, it is possible to maintain hospital operations at a high quality level.
Role:
Clinical software is particularly valuable when it supports medical professionals at the crucial moment. We are looking for a tech-savvy specialist who understands complex applications, gathers requirements from clinical practice, and develops powerful digital solutions from them.
Responsibilities:
Professional and technical development of a central KIS platform
Management of the entire lifecycle of clinical applications – from requirements to productive operation
Gathering and evaluation of requirements from medicine, nursing, and other specialist areas
Development of solution proposals for complex professional and technical issues
Planning and coordination of system changes, releases, and optimisation measures
Handling demanding support cases and structured root cause analysis
Analysis of interface problems and data flows between different systems
Coordination of technical solutions with software suppliers and internal IT teams
Participation in interdisciplinary projects for the digitalisation of clinical processes
Optimisation of workflows and system configurations with regard to user-friendliness and efficiency
Support of key users with new functions and process changes
Creation and maintenance of clear technical and professional documentation
Contribution of own ideas for the further development of the clinical IT landscape
Qualifications:
Solid education in computer science, medical informatics, or comparable technical qualification
Several years of experience in managing complex applications
Ideally professional experience related to healthcare IT, clinical information systems, or medical specialist applications
Experience with structured incident, change, or release management
Understanding of interfaces and the exchange of medical data
Knowledge of KISIM, HL7, or FHIR is an advantage
Ability to present technical contexts understandably for different target groups
High personal responsibility and strong solution orientation
Enjoyment of interdisciplinary collaboration
Interest in new technologies, digitalisation, and continuous process improvement
