Quality begins long before the productive release. We are looking for an experienced individual who combines modern software quality with structured release processes, develops teams professionally and consistently advances testing towards automation, continuous testing and intelligent quality assurance.
Responsibilities:
Overall responsibility for the strategic and operational development of software quality
Building and continuous optimisation of a modern QA strategy along the entire software lifecycle
Definition of test concepts, quality standards, test processes and binding quality gates
Management of end-to-end tests from the requirements phase to production release
Planning and execution of functional, integrative, regression and acceptance-relevant tests
Establishment and expansion of automated test procedures within a continuous testing strategy
Further development of test environments in close cooperation with engineering and system technology
Analysis of complex error patterns as well as systematic root cause analysis of functional and technical problems
Monitoring of application performance and identification of optimisation potentials
Building measurable quality metrics and transparent QA reports
Management of the entire release process from assembling software packages to release approval
Coordination of releases, updates and patches across various development and testing stages
Ensuring reproducible release processes and clean handovers to operations
Creation and further development of release notes, technical documentation and change information
Evaluation of modern testing and release technologies including AI-supported tools
Identification of automation and efficiency potentials within QA and release processes
Professional and personnel leadership of a specialised team
Capacity and resource planning as well as targeted development of employees
Promotion of a quality-oriented, self-responsible and continuously learning team culture
Qualifications:
Several years of experience in professional software testing and quality assurance
Sound knowledge of modern test methods and test management processes
ISTQB certification at foundation level or comparable qualification
Leadership experience in a technical or agile environment
Strong understanding of software quality, test automation and release management
Experience with ERP systems and complex business processes
Good understanding of financial processes and their representation in enterprise software
Experience testing interfaces and integrated system landscapes
Analytical strength as well as a structured and solution-oriented approach
Confident demeanour, strong communication skills and constructive assertiveness
Initiative and enjoyment in critically questioning and further developing existing processes
ISTQB Advanced Level with focus on test management or test analysis is an advantage
Technical understanding of operating systems, networks and system architectures is an advantage
