Cloud Native Infrastructure Engineer (m/f/d)

Role:
As a Cloud Native Infrastructure Engineer, you design modern, scalable infrastructures and move confidently between cloud-native technologies, multi-cloud environments, and traditional data centre operations. You consistently rely on infrastructure-as-code, orchestrate container platforms across various hyperscalers—with a clear Azure focus—and simultaneously keep your own data centre infrastructure running. In 2nd and 3rd level support, you solve complex issues, drive automation forward, and take responsibility for patch cycles as well as on-call duties. With your broad technical foundation, you combine engineering depth with cloud-first thinking.
Responsibilities:
You design and operate infrastructures using infrastructure-as-code and establish repeatable, automated processes
You are responsible for cloud-native environments including container technologies (Azure AKS, Google GKE/Autopilot, AWS EKS/Fargate)
You support customer support in 2nd and 3rd level and act as a technical escalation point
You continuously operate and modernise your own data centre infrastructure
Additionally, you ensure your availability for patch days or weekends and take on on-call duties
Qualifications:
You bring solid know-how in system engineering and networking
You are familiar with hyperscaler cloud infrastructures, especially Microsoft Azure, as well as M365, Modern Workplace, and client automation
You have practical experience with Azure Virtual Desktop, Windows 365, Azure Virtual Machines, and Windows Server, as well as firewall and security topics
Ideally, you have experience with infrastructure-as-code and container platforms
Preferably, you also have additional know-how in terminal server solutions (Remote Desktop, Citrix), other clouds (AWS, GCP), Microsoft Hyper-V, or Linux servers
You work independently and solution-oriented and are open to assignments outside office hours
