Train Systems Engineer (M/F)

Mission :

• Participate in technical studies during the tender phase: analysis of the specifications, definition of the technical solution, risk assessment, contribution to costing and drafting of technical deliverables.
• Analyse the client’s needs, define system requirements and ensure their traceability throughout the project.
• Design the functional and technical architecture of railway systems and ensure the coherence of interfaces between subsystems.
• Coordinate technical activities with different disciplines (signalling, control-command, telecommunications, energy, infrastructure, rolling stock, etc.).
• Define and manage verification, validation and integration activities of systems to ensure their compliance with requirements.
• Contribute to risk analyses, RAMS studies and compliance with railway standards and regulations.
• Participate in the continuous improvement of system engineering methods, tools and reference frameworks.

• Engineering degree from a University of Applied Sciences, EPF or equivalent, in mechanical or microtechnology engineering.
• 8 to 10 years’ experience in system engineering in the railway sector or in a complex industrial environment (transport, aeronautics, etc.).
• Experience in mechanical / electrical or electrotechnical design.
• Mastery of system engineering principles and requirements management.
• Experience in tender phase, technical solution design or project engineering is a plus.
• Ability to design a system architecture and manage interfaces between several technical disciplines.
• Good knowledge of railway systems including rolling stock, signalling, control-command, telecommunications.
• Knowledge of railway standards and system lifecycle processes.
• Knowledge of verification and validation (V&V) activities and RAMS analyses is appreciated.
• Proficiency with requirements management and modelling tools (DOORS or equivalent).
• Be Agile, Autonomous, flexible and striving for Excellence.
• Ability to communicate proactively internally and with partners and clients.
• Very good knowledge of French and English. German is a plus.
