Cloud technologies are continuously evolving and opening up new possibilities for powerful and flexible IT services. In this position, you actively shape a modern cloud landscape and combine engineering, automation, and platform operations. You can expect a technically demanding environment with plenty of creative freedom and varied tasks.
As a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer, you are responsible for the technical development of various cloud services. You develop standardised and automated solutions, optimise existing platforms, and ensure their reliable operation. In doing so, you work closely with architecture, security, application, and infrastructure teams and contribute your expertise to strategic and operational decisions.
Responsibilities:
Further development and optimisation of a modern multi-cloud environment focusing on Azure as well as complementary AWS and Google Cloud
Development of standardised cloud platforms and automated deployment processes
Implementation of infrastructure-as-code solutions and automations with Terraform, Bicep, Python, or PowerShell
Further development of cloud governance, security, identity, and network architectures
Analysis of performance and operational issues as well as handling demanding technical support cases
Consulting internal stakeholders and participating in cloud, digitalisation, and transformation projects
Qualifications:
Completed higher education or degree in computer science, business informatics, or a comparable technical field
Solid professional experience in cloud engineering and in building and operating professional cloud platforms
Very good knowledge of Microsoft Azure and ideally practical experience with AWS and/or Google Cloud
Experience with Terraform, CI/CD, automation, and modern DevOps practices
Good understanding of cloud security, IAM, networks, as well as backup and recovery concepts
Very good German skills, good English skills, and an analytical, independent, and solution-oriented working style
