Clinical Application Manager (m/f/d)
The ROCKEN partner is an independent, university competence centre for paediatrics and adolescent medicine as well as for teaching and research. Around 900 employees dedicate themselves daily with their commitment and professional and scientific expertise to the medical care of patients. Thanks to the passion of the staff for their work, it is possible to maintain hospital operations at a high quality level.
Role:
As a Clinical Application Manager, you shape the interface between modern IT and medical practice. The focus is on the further development of a central clinical application landscape – from requirements analysis through releases to the sustainable optimisation of complex processes.
Responsibilities:
Technical responsibility for the stable and future-oriented operation of a clinical application platform
Further development and optimisation of the clinical information system KISIM
Analysis of clinical requirements and translation into practical IT solutions
Close collaboration with medical and administrative specialist departments
Design and implementation of changes, releases and functional extensions
Analysis of complex malfunctions and sustainable problem-solving in 2nd-level support
Investigation of configurations, interfaces and application-related error patterns
Coordination of technical issues with external software and technology partners
Support of digitalisation projects in the clinical environment
Support and professional guidance of key users
Development of documentation, process descriptions and technical solution concepts
Creation of mockups and other aids for coordinating new functions
Active participation in interdisciplinary working groups around clinical applications
Qualifications:
Training or degree in computer science, medical informatics or a comparable technical field
Several years of professional experience in application management, system engineering or healthcare IT environment
Enthusiasm for the connection between technology and medical processes
Experience with clinical information systems or comparable business applications
Ideally knowledge of KISIM as well as HL7, FHIR or comparable integration standards
Strong analytical thinking and enjoyment of complex problem-solving
Structured, independent and solution-oriented working style
High service orientation and strong communication skills
Interest in modern technologies and agile working methods
Willingness to critically question existing processes and improve them sustainably
