Our client operates a sophisticated IT infrastructure where availability, data security, and stable system operation are particularly important. In a technically skilled team, you ensure that server, virtualisation, and storage platforms function reliably. You handle support cases at 2nd level, monitor backups and system messages, and independently carry out maintenance work. You work closely with experienced IT specialists and support infrastructure projects in daily operations.
Responsibilities:
Handling support tickets at 2nd level as well as diagnosing and resolving faults in Windows, Linux, virtualisation, and storage environments
Checking data backups, monitoring infrastructure alerts, and resolving common errors
Operating and maintaining virtualisation platforms as well as installing patches and updates
Administering Windows and Linux servers and managing SAN and storage solutions
Monitoring and maintaining system monitoring and analysing technical reports
Operational participation in infrastructure projects and coordination with the network team
Participation in planned on-call duty
Qualifications:
Completed IT training EFZ or an equivalent qualification
Proven experience in 2nd level support or system administration, ideally in healthcare
Experience in administering Windows and Linux servers as well as SAN storage systems
Knowledge of VMware vSphere, ESXi, Veeam, and common storage platforms
Intermediate to advanced skills in PowerShell scripting
Experience with monitoring solutions, ideally WhatsUp Gold
Independent, careful, and reliable working style with a strong service orientation
Good team and communication skills
Native German or French speaker with good knowledge of the other language and intermediate technical English skills
