Positioning of the role

Directly reporting to the General Management.

Main mission: Structure and lead the works division of the general company, ensuring both:

• the operational management of construction sites
• the preparation of estimates and budgets

This position can evolve into Works Manager

Priority objectives (first 12 months)

• Manage several projects independently.
• Plan the works and coordinate the various stakeholders.
• Organise and lead site meetings.
• Ensure the technical, financial and administrative monitoring of projects.
• Control costs, deadlines, quality and safety.
• Establish financial forecasts and monitor margins.

Detailed missions

Site management:

• Manage several projects independently.
• Plan the works and coordinate the various stakeholders.
• Organise and lead site meetings.
• Ensure the technical, financial and administrative monitoring of projects.
• Control costs, deadlines, quality and safety.
• Establish financial forecasts and monitor margins.
• Manage additional works and amendments.
• Validate the status and invoices of contractors.
• Ensure the acceptance of works, the removal of reservations and the follow-up of perfect completion.
• Provide regular reporting to Management.

Price studies / estimating:

• Analyse tender documents.
• Carry out measurements and quantities (CFC).
• Prepare provisional budgets.
• Consult companies and negotiate offers.
• Perform comparative analyses.
• Research technical and economic alternatives.
• Participate in the preparation of commercial offers.
• Develop and maintain a price database.

Profile sought

Education:

• Site Manager
• ES Technician in site management
• Construction Engineer
• Or solid equivalent experience in a general company

Confirmed experience:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a general company in Switzerland.
• Strong experience in site management.
• Good command of price studies.
• Experience managing several projects simultaneously.

Essential technical skills:

You particularly master:

• SIA standards;
• CFC;
• tenders and company contracts;
• financial monitoring of operations;
• MS Office tools, especially Excel.
• Proficiency in MS Project, AutoCAD, Odoo is a real asset.
• A good knowledge of the Geneva economic fabric as well as a network of partner companies will be appreciated.
