Infrastructure & Security Engineer (m/f/d)

Role:
Stable systems do not arise by chance but through clean architecture and consistent monitoring. This is exactly where the work as an Infrastructure & Security Engineer begins. You are responsible for server landscapes based on Windows Server and Linux, operate virtualisation platforms, and drive hybrid cloud scenarios forward. Scripting is part of your daily routine, not just an extra.
Responsibilities:
You design and operate infrastructures in traditional data centres as well as in hybrid and cloud environments.
You technically implement hardening, permission concepts, and backup strategies and document them comprehensibly.
You script recurring processes with PowerShell or Bash and reduce manual operations in daily business.
Additionally, you maintain server operating systems including updates, rollouts, and lifecycle management.
Furthermore, you take on challenging tickets from 2nd and 3rd level support and investigate faults to their root cause.
You also keep an eye on hypervisors, storage, and monitoring stacks and react early to anomalies.
Qualifications:
Your foundation is an IT education, such as platform development, system technology, or ICT specialisation. Alternatively, solid practical experience counts; a degree is not necessary.
You bring at least three years of experience in operating servers, networks, and infrastructure components.
You have deep knowledge in at least one of the two worlds: Windows or Linux.
You are proficient with virtualisation, storage systems, and security technologies.
Furthermore, containers, Kubernetes, or Microsoft Azure are not foreign terms to you.
You think in a structured way, work independently, and are confident in spoken and written German, including technical English.
