Role:
You want to not only operate storage and backup landscapes but also shape them technically? In this position as Datacenter Engineer Storage, you are responsible for complex infrastructures based on NetApp and Pure Storage. Recoverability is not just a promise here. It is the measurable result of your work. With your experience, you make well-founded architectural decisions and accompany projects from conception to stable operation.
Responsibilities:
You design backup and retention concepts for physical and virtual systems and technically ensure the recoverability of the secured data.
For disaster recovery scenarios, you set up snapshot and replication processes and continuously optimise them.
You administer immutable and WORM storage, effectively protecting data from manipulation.
Additionally, you operate storage services such as Network File System (NFS), S3, and NDMP, as well as maintain volumes, LUNs, and capacities.
In case of performance or capacity bottlenecks, you investigate the cause and resolve it sustainably.
Furthermore, you drive migrations, hardware replacements, and lifecycle measures forward and integrate the systems into VMware and KVM environments.
Qualifications:
You have at least three years of practical experience in storage, backup, or infrastructure engineering.
You are familiar with enterprise storage from operational daily work, ideally from NetApp or Pure Storage.
You are confident in NAS, object storage, and storage area network (SAN) architectures, including provisioning of LUNs and filesystems.
You have practical experience with tape libraries, SAN components, and replication mechanisms.
Furthermore, you understand how immutable backup and WORM protect data against loss and are familiar with common high-availability concepts.
You work in a structured manner, analyse complex faults independently, and have solid knowledge of VMware or KVM.
