You design the technical target architecture for virtualisation, storage, backup as well as Windows and Linux infrastructures and plan changes so that operational stability and the safety of patient care are always taken into account.
You lead infrastructure projects from conception to commissioning. This includes migration and transition planning, technical specifications, tenders, offer comparisons, as well as the evaluation and introduction of new technologies.
In ongoing operations, you are responsible for central data centre and server platforms with VMware vSphere Suite, vCenter, ESXi, Windows and Linux. You analyse disruptions at Level 2 and 3 sustainably and coordinate necessary measures; you also participate in on-call duty.
For backup and storage, you maintain and develop solutions with VEEAM Backup Suite, Veeam for O365, Cisco, Pure Storage as well as DELL/EMC and coordinate infrastructural dependencies with the network team.
As a technical expert, you contribute to cybersecurity, translate recommendations into actionable measures, and ensure high technical quality through standards, documentation, training, and knowledge transfer.
Qualifications:
Completed university or college degree in computer science or an equivalent recognised qualification as well as solid experience with system architectures or ICT platforms, preferably in a hospital environment.
Very good practical knowledge of VMware vSphere Suite, vCenter, ESXi, Windows, Linux, Veeam, Cisco, Pure Storage and DELL/EMC; experience with automating IT processes using PowerShell.
Experience in managing complex IT infrastructure projects, including tender procedures, technical specifications, and migration planning, combined with technical leadership skills and the ability to drive change.
Analytical and structured working style, strong sense of responsibility as well as independent, reliable, and service-oriented action within the team.
German written and spoken fluently; alternatively French at native level with good German skills. Good knowledge of the other language as well as intermediate skills in technical English are required.
