About the job
Responsible Technical Customer Service
Greater Lucerne area - Full-time - by arrangement
Do you want to not only administratively support a technical customer service but take independent responsibility for it? You keep repairs, complaints, spare parts and ongoing service cases under control and are the reliable contact person for customers when a quick and clean solution is required.
Our client is the Swiss subsidiary of a globally operating corporate group in the field of hydraulics, drive technology and customised system solutions. In this role, you independently take responsibility for aftersales and customer service in Switzerland. You work closely with service technicians, workshop, customers and suppliers.
What to expect
- You are responsible for the technical customer service and independently coordinate ongoing service cases.
- You handle repairs and complaints commercially and ensure that open cases are consistently followed through to completion.
- You identify spare parts and technical components and organise their procurement and availability.
- You support customers together with the service technicians and are the central contact person for repairs, spare parts, complaints and aftersales topics.
- You clarify technical and commercial questions directly with customers, suppliers and internal contacts.
- You take over purchasing and scheduling for aftersales and reliably keep an eye on deadlines, orders and delivery status.
- You coordinate cooperation with customer service, sales and workshop and ensure smooth information flow.
- You maintain master and order data and ensure clean documentation of ongoing processes.
What you bring
- You have a completed commercial education with good technical understanding or a technical basic education with commercial or business management further training.
- You have experience in aftersales, technical customer service, internal service or complaints management.
- You can understand technical contexts and enjoy delving into components, spare parts and technical solutions.
- You organise yourself independently and can reliably structure and prioritise your area of responsibility.
- You keep an overview even with several parallel customer enquiries, repairs and delivery dates.
- You communicate confidently in German and English. French skills are a plus.
- You appear binding to customers and find a professional and solution-oriented approach even with complaints.
Why you would fit
- You want to take on your own area of responsibility and manage aftersales reliably and independently.
- You combine commercial thinking with technical interest and want to understand what is behind a customer enquiry.
- You like to work independently and at the same time appreciate direct exchange with service technicians, workshop, sales and suppliers.
- You stay on open cases, set priorities and ensure that customers receive reliable answers.
- You feel comfortable in a small, dynamic team with short decision-making paths and personal collaboration.
Onboarding & training
You take on your own area of responsibility but are carefully introduced to products, technology and internal processes. At the beginning, you get to know the world of hydraulics up close. Experienced colleagues show you the products and typical service cases, you work with the workshop and get a feeling for what technically happens behind a spare part enquiry, repair or complaint.
Soon you will independently manage your first cases. You clarify customer enquiries, identify the required components, coordinate repairs and deliveries and keep those involved up to date. With each order, your technical understanding grows and you develop into the central contact person for aftersales and customer service.
As soon as you know products, customers and processes securely, you largely manage your area independently. And if you later seek the next step, the perspective is already there: if desired, you can expand your area of responsibility beyond customer service and develop towards overall responsibility for internal service including sales internal service and customer service.
What is offered to you
- Your own area of responsibility with a lot of independence and direct influence on the quality of customer service.
- A versatile permanent position in a specialised Swiss SME with an international environment.
- 27 days holiday and regulated working conditions and free parking on site.
- Targeted training in products, spare parts and technical aftersales processes.
- Short distances to workshop, sales and other technical contacts.
- An open, dynamic team with a hands-on mentality and weekly shared lunches.
- A long-term development perspective with the possibility, if desired, to later take responsibility for the entire internal service including sales internal service and customer service.
- Support for professional training and the expansion of your technical know-how.
