Lead System Engineer Microsoft (m/f/d)
Engineering, electrical safety and meter-to-cash – sounds complex? Our Rocken partner turns this into customised solutions for energy supply companies and industrial enterprises. As a reliable service provider, the company combines profound expertise with high flexibility and clear safety standards. The scope of activities covers the entire range from engineering through meter management and measurement data management to billing, finance and ICT. Practical implementation of future-oriented concepts is the focus. Professional, authentic, dynamic – that is how the team works here. Partnership-based collaboration on equal footing is not just a phrase but lived reality. Customers are to become convinced ambassadors. Ready to become part of this success story? Then our Rocken partner looks forward to your application.Role:
You don’t just solve problems – you prevent them from recurring.
You are familiar with complex enterprise environments from practice and want to achieve more than just ensuring daily operations? You question existing solutions, automate recurring processes and make technical decisions with a view to security, stability and future viability. Then this position offers you the opportunity to fully apply your engineering expertise.
From the cause of the error to a sustainable solution
If a disruption affects multiple systems, you proceed in a structured manner. You take over the 3rd-level troubleshooting, analyse causes instead of just fixing symptoms and are responsible for the technical solution until stable operation is achieved. At the same time, you optimise performance and use insights from operations to improve the infrastructure in the long term.
A platform you actively help shape
Your focus is on Microsoft-based enterprise environments. You further develop systems, modernise existing components and evaluate new technologies in terms of benefits, security and integration effort.
Responsibilities:
Technical responsibility instead of mere implementation
You take on the technical leadership for changes and migrations. You plan the implementation, identify dependencies, coordinate those involved and ensure controlled commissioning.
You are also involved in projects from the start: you develop solution concepts, are responsible for technical work packages, accompany testing and operational handover, and train technical specialists. Furthermore, you shape standards, security requirements, operating models and lifecycle decisions.
Qualifications:
You bring experience with several of the following technologies:
Windows Server and VMware
Microsoft 365 and Identity & Access Management
Active Directory, Microsoft Entra, ADFS and DNS
PowerShell and GitLab for automation and standardisation
Ivanti or comparable update management systems
PRTG or comparable monitoring solutions
What you bring
A completed apprenticeship as an IT specialist EFZ or a comparable qualification.
At least seven years of experience in the enterprise environment, including several years in a technically responsible system engineering role.
Solid practical experience with Microsoft infrastructures and several of the mentioned technologies.
Experience with ITIL and ITSM tools as well as a pronounced security mindset.
An independent, analytical and solution-oriented working style with a high sense of responsibility.
The ability to justify technical decisions comprehensibly and to communicate even complex matters appropriately to the target audience.
Fluent German, secure understanding of Swiss German and good English skills, both spoken and written.
Benefits:
- Participation in health measures
- Flexible working hours
- Home office
- Attractive employee discounts
- Sporting activities
- Market- and performance-based salaries
- Free fruit and drinks
- Above-average holidays and days off
- Participation in or coverage of public transport subscriptions
