Responsibilities:
You ensure timely customs clearance for all import and export processes.
Professional and disciplinary leadership of the trade compliance team.
As the customs officer, you keep permits and official requirements up to date.
You review customs costs and monitor the internal control system.
You contribute customs expertise to projects and further develop existing processes.
You advise category management on customs issues, Incoterms, and cross-border transactions.
You continuously manage interfaces with suppliers, logistics, finance, and other internal departments.
You drive automation and scalable solutions for trade compliance processes.
Qualifications:
Completed commercial apprenticeship with further training or degree in a relevant field.
Several years of professional experience in customs, import and export, ideally with leadership experience.
Good knowledge of Swiss customs law and cross-border e-commerce.
Experience with customs software, ERP systems, and digitalised compliance processes.
Knowledge of Incoterms and their application in international goods traffic.
Analytical working style as well as experience in project management and process optimisation.
Confident manner in dealing with authorities, suppliers, and internal contacts.
Fluent German and good English skills, both spoken and written.
