Role:
Stable software does not arise by chance but through people who think operations and development together. As an Infrastructure & Application Engineer, you keep a heavily used web platform running and simultaneously expand it. The path leads from the error message through the cause to sustainable improvement in the code. You move confidently between TypeScript, PHP, and modern cloud infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
You detect anomalies early through monitoring and error tracking and fix causes before users notice anything
In case of disruptions, you lead the analysis, develop solutions with the team, and document the lessons learned in postmortems
Furthermore, you optimise runtime and response behaviour in backend and frontend
You automate manual processes, thereby reducing error susceptibility in daily work
Additionally, you expand a robust system architecture that remains viable even after years
You also share your knowledge in short tech talks, guides, and documentation
Qualifications:
You are familiar with common patterns for developing web applications on both sides of the stack
You have programming experience with TypeScript and PHP
You are familiar with system administration as well as scalable and fault-tolerant cloud infrastructure
In incidents, you act quickly, get to the root cause, and derive effective measures
Moreover, you work self-organised, question the status quo, and seek professional dialogue
You communicate confidently in German and English
