Azure Cloud Engineer (m/f/d)

Role:
Do you want to design cloud infrastructures where security is not added afterwards but considered from the start? In this position, you combine Azure engineering with modern security concepts and automated infrastructure processes. You develop robust cloud architectures, establish technical standards, and ensure that security and scalability go hand in hand.
Responsibilities:
Development and securing of modern Microsoft Azure architectures according to security-by-design principles
Building standardized cloud environments and secure landing zones
Automated provisioning of infrastructure components with Terraform and Azure Bicep
Development of PowerShell scripts to automate security checks and administrative processes
Implementation of identity and access management concepts with Microsoft Entra ID, RBAC and managed identities
Implementation of zero-trust principles, conditional access and least-privilege access concepts
Integration of Azure Policy, Azure Key Vault and central security monitoring mechanisms
Development of automated compliance checks and standardized security configurations
Analysis of misconfigurations, security risks and deviations from architecture standards
Further development of governance concepts and technical cloud security policies
Support in implementing security monitoring and integrating Microsoft Defender for Cloud
Qualifications:
Solid experience in Azure cloud engineering, cloud security engineering or technical infrastructure development
Good knowledge of Microsoft Azure and its core infrastructure components
Practical experience with Terraform and/or Azure Bicep
Very good knowledge of PowerShell or comparable automation approaches
Understanding of identity management, network segmentation and secure cloud architectures
Experience with Azure Policy, RBAC, Key Vault or comparable security mechanisms
Knowledge of Git, Azure DevOps and automated deployment processes is an advantage
Analytical thinking and a strong awareness of technical risks
