Senior System Engineer - Windows & Virtualisation (m/f/d)

Role:
Stable systems are not a coincidence for you, but the result of thoughtful architecture and clean technical implementation? Take responsibility for high-performance server platforms and further develop existing environments with modern virtualisation, automation and security concepts.
Responsibilities:
Engineering and operation of complex server landscapes based on Windows Server and possibly Linux
Design, optimisation and maintenance of virtualisation platforms such as VMware vSphere or Hyper-V
Further development of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and other central infrastructure services
Planning and implementation of server migrations, upgrades and lifecycle measures
Design and optimisation of backup, restore and disaster recovery procedures
Automation of administrative processes using PowerShell and standardised configurations
Performance analyses, capacity planning and sustainable troubleshooting
Implementation of hardening measures, patch management and technical security standards
Qualifications:
Several years of experience in server engineering and operation of productive IT infrastructures
Very good knowledge of Windows Server and Active Directory
Practical experience with VMware, Hyper-V or comparable virtualisation technologies
Experience with backup, recovery, monitoring and systematic error analysis
Knowledge of PowerShell and automated operational processes
Understanding of high availability, permission models and secure system architectures
Structured working style and enthusiasm for in-depth technical analysis
