To complete our teams in Yverdon-les-Bains, we are looking for a person to fill the position of:
Automation Technician – Railway Maintenance
Your mission
Within our railway depot, you will join a team of professionals passionate about the technology and maintenance of rolling stock.
Your daily tasks are varied and you will be involved in the following activities:
- ensuring preventive and corrective maintenance of railway rolling stock;
- carrying out inspections, diagnostics and troubleshooting of installations and equipment;
- working on electrical, electronic, electrotechnical and mechanical systems;
- identifying malfunctions, investigating their causes and performing necessary repairs;
- participating in the technical on-call service to guarantee the availability and safety of the equipment;
- performing railway movements and manoeuvres with different types of rolling stock;
- contributing to the continuous improvement of maintenance processes and installations.
This position will allow you to apply your technical skills in a practical environment where autonomy, precision and safety are central.
Your profile
You are a hands-on person, curious and comfortable with technical challenges. Ideally, you have the following qualifications and skills:
- Federal VET Diploma (CFC) as an automation technician, mechanic-electrician or equivalent training;
- several years of experience in a technical environment;
- experience in the railway sector is an advantage;
- a valid AI 40 railway driving licence is an asset, or willingness to undertake the necessary training;
- good analytical skills and a taste for fault-finding and troubleshooting;
- ability to work both independently and as part of a team;
- a sense of responsibility, rigour and initiative;
- interest in technology and a desire to regularly develop your skills;
- proficiency with common IT tools;
- a particular sensitivity to safety issues, essential in our environment.
