Responsibilities:
Further development of the Loculus platform (frontend with TypeScript/React, backend with Kotlin/Python, Postgres)
Integration of external tools such as Nextclade and interfaces to systems like Cephalopod
Connection to the ARTIC2 pipeline and expansion of collaboration with Pathoplexus
Development of functions for data control, embargo management and federated queries
Support with implementation, documentation and community feedback
Qualifications:
Experience in software development, ideally with open-source contributions
Knowledge of TypeScript, Kotlin, React or Python
Experience with REST APIs, CI/CD, databases
Interest in bioinformatics or scientific computing
Advantage: experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Snakemake
Very good German language skills
