Senior Azure Engineer | ? or Cloud Infrastructure Architect - Next Level ?? (m/f/d)
Responsibilities:
As the technical designer of our Microsoft Azure platform, you shape its architecture and create a robust foundation for productive use with Landing Zone, network, security, and scaling concepts.
Repeatable processes are central to you: with Terraform, PowerShell, Microsoft Graph, and Azure CLI, you automate infrastructure and operations and anchor Infrastructure as Code in the CI/CD processes.
Around Microsoft Entra ID, you further develop the identity and access architecture and translate modern security and zero-trust principles into practical solutions.
Together with software engineering, you design the container infrastructure on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS). At the same time, you ensure transparency, stability, and recoverability of cloud services through monitoring, logging, backup, and recovery.
Beyond the existing platform, you also provide technical impulses: you optimise client and device management with Microsoft Intune, explore new cloud services and technologies, and prepare architectural decisions. For suitable projects, you take on technical leadership.
Qualifications:
Your professional foundation is a tertiary degree in computer science or a related field, for example at a university of applied sciences, university, or ETH, or a comparable advanced qualification.
You are familiar with productive Microsoft Azure environments from several years of personal practice in cloud, infrastructure, or platform engineering and have not only operated platforms but also built and sustainably developed them.
You view Azure as a complete system: networking, compute, storage, identity, security, governance, and automation as well as their dependencies are familiar to you.
Practical experience with Microsoft Entra ID, identity & access management, cloud security, Terraform, and PowerShell is part of your technical profile. Knowledge in productive environments with Kubernetes, containers, AKS, Azure Container Registry, and CI/CD – especially Azure DevOps – ideally complements it.
You approach complex technical issues analytically and structurally and sustainably improve existing solutions. You enjoy collaborating with various IT disciplines and external partners; fluent written and spoken German and very good English skills complete your profile.
