A Heating Installer – 100% as an Apprentice Trainer (MSP)

The Centre for Specialised Vocational Training (CFPS) Le Repuis (www.lerepuis.ch) is one of the leading institutions in French-speaking Switzerland for training apprentices with cognitive, physical, psychological or behavioural difficulties. It welcomes around 370 young people each year from all over French-speaking Switzerland and is based in Grandson. We are looking for:

To support apprentices in the building technology sector within CFPS Le Repuis. You will join a small team to ensure the training of apprentices according to the professional requirements of the sector, in close collaboration with the internal network.

The main tasks will be:

• Training apprentices for a Federal VET Diploma (CFC), a Federal Certificate of Competence (AFP) or practical training, adapting methods and tools to their specific difficulties
• Providing support both practically and in behavioural and social aspects and contributing to theoretical learning
• Carrying out production work on site, at clients’ premises and on construction sites
• Welcoming and assessing interns during their career orientation phase
• Writing reports on apprentice training for our clients
• Collaborating with various support measures offered (support courses, boarding and day school, psychologists and nurses, etc.) and participating in internal network meetings concerning young people in training

We require:

• Federal VET Diploma (CFC) as a heating installer essential, federal certificate an advantage
• Pedagogical training at ES/HES level or willingness to acquire it on the job
• Experience in training apprentices
• Several years of company experience essential
• Personal maturity to handle complex situations with young people, capacity for introspection and perspective
• Ability to collaborate in a team as well as with various partners from different trades
• Professional experience in an educational or social context an advantage
