About the job
The Hospitals of Schaffhausen include the Cantonal Hospital, the Psychiatric Services, the Radiology and Cardiology Posthof Neuhausen practices, as well as the Neurology Practice Schaffhausen Centre. With over 1,700 employees, we ensure the extended medical and nursing basic care of the Schaffhausen region. Each year, we care for around 11,000 inpatients and 90,000 outpatients. Additionally, we are an important training centre in the canton.
You are attending commercial school and would like to complete an internship year at the Hospitals of Schaffhausen? Then please feel free to contact us.
Every year, we offer a placement in accounting for one commercial school student. The internship starts on 12 July 2027 and lasts until 31 July 2028.

- Managing the cash desk at the Psychiatric Centre
- Handling enquiries and correspondence in the accounts receivable and accounts payable areas
- Creating patient instalment agreements
- Ensuring invoice receipt in the accounts payable workflow
- Assisting with accounts payable bookkeeping
