IT System Engineer Microsoft Infrastructure (m/f/d)
Role:
For a company with an extensive IT landscape, a Windows System Engineer is sought who reliably operates and technically develops the existing infrastructure. You will work on optimising systems and operational processes and support internal departments with questions regarding infrastructure, security, and availability.
Responsibilities:
Development and operation of Windows systems and associated Microsoft services
Monitoring system availability and performance as well as handling faults and operational issues
Carrying out patches, releases, and maintenance work throughout the entire system lifecycle
Improving system environments through automation, scripting, and security measures
Technical collaboration in company-wide IT projects and support of internal teams on infrastructure matters
Updating system documentation and operating instructions as well as participating in on-call duty
Qualifications:
IT training EFZ, HF or FH or equivalent several years of professional experience in Windows system engineering
Good to very good knowledge in the Microsoft environment with Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Azure, Active Directory or Entra ID, and Exchange
Experience with VMware or a comparable virtualisation solution
Knowledge in networks, identity & access management, backup solutions, and system monitoring
Experience with PowerShell; knowledge of Ansible and Git is a plus
Reliable, analytical, and customer-oriented working style, very good German skills, and willingness for planned assignments outside usual working hours
