Translate complex IT requirements into clear decisions, make business value visible and actively steer digital development: This position combines strategic IT management with process competence and a pronounced understanding of the needs of modern specialist departments. We are looking for a personality who not only manages requirements but develops concrete optimisation and innovation opportunities from them.
Responsibilities:
Management of the entire IT demand lifecycle from the initial idea to handover into projects, services or strategic initiatives
Evaluation of incoming requirements regarding business value, cost-effectiveness, risks, priority and long-term impact
Development of robust decision bases and business cases for strategic and operational IT initiatives
Establishment and further development of modern governance structures for demand, portfolio and service management
Close collaboration with specialist departments, IT managers, service organisations and strategic stakeholders
Translation of complex business requirements into structured IT decisions
Identification of recurring needs and derivation of automation, standardisation and digitalisation potentials
Support in the evaluation of new technologies and innovative solution approaches
Further development of the demand process based on KPIs, feedback, lessons learned and continuous improvement
Ensuring high-quality documentation and transparent tracking of all relevant requirements in the ITSM environment
Coordination of communication in cross-departmental IT initiatives
Support of demanding topics around enterprise content management and digital document processes
Qualifications:
Completed studies in business informatics, computer science, business administration with IT focus or a comparable qualification
Several years of professional experience in IT demand management, IT service management, IT portfolio management or a comparable interface function
Sound knowledge of ITIL 4 and modern IT service management principles
Experience with governance, process design and structured requirements management
Strong analytical skills and a good understanding of business cases, prioritisation and cost-effectiveness
Experience with professional ITSM platforms and digital workflow solutions
Good technical understanding of the interplay between applications, infrastructure, data and services
Ability to prepare complex matters clearly and understandably at management level
Strong communication skills, assertiveness and pronounced stakeholder competence
Independent, structured and solution-oriented working style
Interest in technological innovations such as automation, AI-supported workflows and data-driven IT management
Willingness to familiarise oneself with a technically demanding and highly regulated industry environment
