IT Operations Engineer (m/f/d)

Role:
Stable IT is not created by mere operation but through continuous optimisation. As an IT Operations Engineer, you combine system administration, cloud, network, security, and automation to ensure that demanding IT landscapes function reliably. At the same time, you are given space to technically further develop existing solutions.
Responsibilities:
Ensuring reliable operation of modern enterprise IT platforms
Support of servers, cloud services, network components, and business applications
Analysis of complex incidents and development of sustainable technical solutions
Proactive monitoring of infrastructure, applications, and system performance
Building and optimising monitoring, alerting, and observability concepts
Automation of routine tasks and standardised operational processes
Development of own automation solutions with PowerShell and modern tools
Planning and execution of system updates, migrations, and technical maintenance windows
Further development of hybrid cloud infrastructures
Support in network and security projects
Optimisation of backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes
Accompanying technical projects around cloud, infrastructure, and cyber security
Collaboration with development, security, and application teams
Technical consulting on architecture, operation, and integration issues
Building standards, runbooks, and automated operational procedures
Identification of new technologies and evaluation of their practical use
Qualifications:
Professional experience in IT operations, system engineering, infrastructure engineering, or comparable fields
Very good knowledge of Windows-based enterprise environments
Experience with Azure, Microsoft 365, or comparable cloud platforms
Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and network architectures
Knowledge of firewalling and modern security concepts
Experience with PowerShell, Python, or comparable automation technologies
Understanding of monitoring, logging, and cross-system error analysis
Ideally experience with container technologies or infrastructure as code
Independent, structured, and pragmatic working style
Strong problem-solving skills
Willingness to take responsibility for technical topics
Enjoyment of automation and continuous improvement
