Responsibilities:
- Development of control software and HMI applications for industrial automation systems
- Programming of PLC systems (e.g. Siemens S7, Beckhoff TwinCAT) and robots
- Integration and communication of components and systems in automation technology
- Creation of software specifications, functional descriptions and programming documentation
- Commissioning, testing and troubleshooting of automation systems
- Conducting software tests, optimisation and improvement of system performance
- Collaboration in plant visualisation and user interface development
- Close cooperation with other departments such as electrical engineering and mechanics
- Support of the sales team in technical consulting and offer preparation
- Training and instruction of customers in the operation of automation systems
Qualifications:
- Completed studies in electrical engineering, automation technology or comparable qualification
- Several years of professional experience in software development in the field of industrial automation
- Solid knowledge in programming PLC systems and HMI software
- Experience with common automation protocols and fieldbus systems (e.g. Profibus, Profinet)
- Good knowledge in the use of software development tools (e.g. Siemens TIA Portal, CODESYS)
- Experience with robotics and motion control is an advantage
- Knowledge in industrial network technology (Ethernet, TCP/IP)
- Confident handling of common programming languages (e.g. C++, C#, Python)
- Experience in commissioning and troubleshooting automation systems
- Teamwork, strong communication skills and high problem-solving competence
- Good German and English skills
