As Senior System Engineer Windows Server & Microsoft 365, you take technical responsibility for complex enterprise infrastructures. The focus is on Microsoft-based server environments, Microsoft 365 (M365) and Identity & Access Management. You analyse demanding faults down to the root cause and lead them to a sustainable solution. At the same time, you actively shape architectures, standards and lifecycle decisions.
Responsibilities:
You ensure stable operation, take on 3rd level troubleshooting and conduct root cause analyses for cross-system issues.
You modernise existing systems, evaluate new technologies and contribute your assessment to architectural decisions.
You technically lead changes and migrations, assess dependencies and coordinate the involved departments until controlled commissioning.
Furthermore, you create solution concepts, system architectures and operational documentation for internal and external specialists.
In projects, you are responsible for technical work packages from conception through testing to operational handover and training.
You also contribute to technical standards, operating models and security requirements.
Qualifications:
You have completed an IT apprenticeship EFZ or hold a comparable qualification.
You have several years of professional experience in the enterprise environment, a significant part of which in a technically responsible engineering role.
You have solid knowledge of Windows Server, VMware, Active Directory, Entra ID, ADFS and DNS.
You automate recurring processes with PowerShell and version control, complemented by experience with update management and monitoring solutions.
You also have a strong security mindset and are familiar with working according to ITIL and with an ITSM tool.
Additionally, you communicate confidently in German, understand Swiss German effortlessly and are also proficient in English.
