Role:

When development teams realise new applications, data solutions, or AI applications, they need a cloud platform that combines security, reusability, and speed. You actively shape this foundation: you automate infrastructure, develop clear standards, and make modern cloud technologies usable for different teams. In doing so, you connect architecture and engineering with a tangible added value for the entire organisation.

Responsibilities:

Designing a resilient Azure platform

• You further develop the Microsoft Azure architecture and establish standardised platform components for different areas of application.

• You design and maintain Azure Landing Zones as well as reusable infrastructure components.

• You define technical specifications and interfaces so that teams can use cloud resources consistently and securely.

Automating and simplifying infrastructure

• You develop Terraform modules and automate the provisioning and configuration of cloud resources.

• You use Azure DevOps, Git, and suitable scripting approaches to implement changes traceably and efficiently.

• You support the integration of API Management, Azure AI, and Microsoft Foundry into the existing platform landscape.

Empowering teams and ensuring quality

• You advise application, data, AI, development, and infrastructure teams on architectural questions and the use of central cloud services.

• You accompany the handover of standardised platform components to deployment and operations teams.

• You analyse complex service requests and incidents and ensure sustainable technical solutions.

• You work in international projects and share your knowledge to further develop cloud competence within the company.

Qualifications:

Cloud and engineering know-how

• You have IT training with professional experience or a completed computer science degree.

• You bring solid experience in designing and standardising Azure platforms and ideally Landing Zones.

• You know basic architectural principles and have ideally also worked with other cloud providers.

• You have practical experience with Terraform, Azure DevOps, and/or Git.

• You have basic knowledge of Azure AI, Microsoft Foundry, API Management, and Microsoft Entra ID.

• You can implement automation and integration tasks with PowerShell, REST APIs, or comparable technologies.

• You understand cloud operating models and the distribution of responsibilities between platform, deployment, and operations teams.

Working style and collaboration

• You analyse complex issues in a structured way and value maintainable, high-quality solutions.

• You work independently, think ahead, and consistently develop technical standards further.

• You communicate openly, support other teams, and enjoy knowledge transfer.

• You have very good German and English skills at least at level B2.
