IT Quality Master (m/f/d)

What to expect

In this role, you are part of the interdisciplinary leadership team in the agile Release Train Grizzly (ART Grizzly). Together with business and IT representatives, you shape quality assurance at the ART level and actively bring the QA perspective into the ART troika. The ART Grizzly is responsible for ART and cross-departmental processes of the NT platform, through which a significant part of the revenue from non-life products is generated. As Quality Master, you ensure built-in quality for services and products. You coordinate ART and cross-departmental tests, support the acceptance of new features, and further develop the testing approach with a focus on effectiveness, test automation, and end-to-end testing.

Your impact with us

You manage and are responsible for agile and conventional quality assurance at the ART level – from test strategy through test planning to transparency about status, risks, and dependencies. You ensure that tests are planned purposefully, cover relevant risks, and deliver clear added value for product quality. You lead a team of Quality Engineers in ART Grizzly professionally, provide methodological guidance, and ensure that test strategy, test planning, and test execution effectively interlock within the ART. At the same time, you are the central contact person for quality and test-related questions within the ART.

As a permanent member of the ART troika, you consistently bring the QA perspective into decisions, ceremonies, and planning processes. You make the effectiveness of quality assurance visible through appropriate metrics, create transparency about quality-relevant risks, and jointly derive suitable measures with the troika.

Furthermore, you support Product Managers and Epic Owners in the acceptance of features and quality-related decisions. In close coordination with the Quality Architect, Quality Masters of other ARTs, and the QM community, you promote a shared understanding of QA methodology, standards, and the sensible use of test automation and tools.

Your profile

• Completed education or further training in computer science, business informatics, or a similar field
• Several years of experience in test management, as a Quality Master, or in a comparable quality-responsible role
• Assuming professional leadership of the Quality Engineers in the ART, setting priorities, providing guidance, and jointly developing an effective quality understanding
• Solid experience in test planning, quality metrics, and managing risks and dependencies
• Experience in designing, introducing, or further developing test automation and end-to-end testing, ideally from a controlling or professionally leading role
• Familiarity with SAFe and agile as well as conventional methods, and experience collaborating with Product Management, system architecture, and feature teams
• Certifications in testing, for example ISTQB Advanced Level, or in agile testing, for example iSQI Certified Agile Tester, are a plus
• Ability to quickly familiarise yourself with complex technical and professional topics, ideally in the financial or insurance environment
• Enjoyment of collaboration and communication as well as inspiring people for quality and continuous improvement
• Very good German skills and good English skills
