Role:
In this responsible leadership position, you will take charge of the internal freight forwarding department and coordinate international export processes. You ensure economical and legally compliant shipping handling and continuously develop existing procedures.
Responsibilities:
You take on the professional and personnel management of the internal freight forwarding department and ensure efficient organisation of workflows.
You coordinate international export orders from quotation to successful delivery.
You are responsible for planning and monitoring international transports, considering costs, quality, and delivery dates.
You ensure compliance with customs and export control regulations in cooperation with the responsible specialist departments.
You handle questions regarding goods origin and preference regulations and ensure correct processing.
You analyse and improve existing shipping and export processes and implement suitable optimisation measures.
You lead cross-departmental projects and coordinate collaboration with sales, project management, and other internal departments.
Qualifications:
You have completed a commercial or technical basic education with a Federal VET Diploma and a related further education, for example as a foreign trade specialist with a federal certificate or foreign trade manager with a federal diploma.
You bring several years of professional experience in international export handling and freight forwarding.
You have leadership experience as well as sound knowledge of customs, export control, and origin law.
You convince with leadership strength, negotiation skills, assertiveness, social competence, as well as an independent, responsible, and solution-oriented working style.
You have fluent German and English skills; additional foreign languages are an advantage.
