Specialist in Transport & Foreign Trade (m/f/d)
Salary - CHF87,100 - 104,000Our client is an established technology company with Swiss roots and an international orientation. The company develops and produces technically sophisticated systems for the reliable energy supply of critical plants and infrastructures. Modern technologies, high safety requirements and international projects ensure a varied working environment.
Role:
You can expect a versatile specialist role around international transport, customs and export in a modern, internationally oriented environment. You coordinate worldwide shipments via various modes of transport, are responsible for operational customs clearance and ensure the correct preparation of complex export documents. At the same time, you actively contribute to the optimisation of transport and customs processes and work closely with international logistics partners.
Responsibilities:
Coordination of international transports by courier, air, road and sea freight
Handling of import and export customs clearance as well as relevant customs formalities
Preparation of export, customs and shipping documents as well as certificates of origin and L/C-compliant documents
Ensuring compliance with relevant export control, sanctions and trade compliance requirements
Coordination of dangerous goods shipments and transport-specific requirements
Support of international freight forwarders, customs and logistics partners
Review of freight invoices and support with transport tenders and carrier evaluations
Optimisation of transport, packaging and customs processes regarding cost, quality and delivery reliability
Qualifications:
Commercial basic training with further education in foreign trade, customs, forwarding or logistics, for example as a foreign trade specialist with a federal diploma, forwarding specialist with a federal diploma or customs declarant, is a great advantage.
Several years of experience in international transport, import/export or customs processing
Good knowledge of customs procedures, Incoterms and international shipping processes
Experience with air freight and corresponding safety requirements
Knowledge of export control, sanctions, tariff classification and rules of origin is an advantage
Experience with ATA Carnets, dangerous goods or letters of credit (L/C)
Very good German skills (C1) and good English skills (B2)
