Role:

You want to take on more responsibility in the finance sector and not just accompany day-to-day business? In this position, you combine financial accounting with controlling, risk management, and management reporting. You ensure reliable financial information, support the further development of important control instruments, and take responsibility for the entire finance area if necessary. At the same time, you lead a small team and work closely with various internal departments.

Responsibilities:

• You ensure accurate and reliable financial and asset accounting and coordinate reconciliations between general and subsidiary ledgers

• You support the preparations for the annual financial statements and ensure that relevant closing tasks are completed fully and on time

• You review the VAT returns, ensure their quality, and take final control

• You contribute to the budget preparation and bring your financial expertise into the planning

• You are responsible for financial controlling and prepare relevant key figures and evaluations for management

• You further develop the internal control system and ensure its implementation and ongoing review

• You coordinate topics around risk management and support the further development of corresponding structures

• You maintain the management information system and further develop existing reporting and control instruments

• You prepare meaningful decision-making bases and ensure that financial information is available in a clear and timely manner

• You deputise for the head of finance during absences and ensure smooth operations in the finance area

• You lead the social assistance accounting team both professionally and personally and ensure clear structures and efficient processes

Qualifications:

• You have completed a solid training in finance and accounting, ideally supplemented by the Swiss Federal Certificate in Finance and Accounting or a comparable qualification

• You bring several years of professional experience in finance and accounting and are familiar with the requirements around financial statements, budgeting, and controlling

• Experience in public accounting or in social assistance accounting is an advantage

• You have knowledge in ICS, risk management, and management reporting or want to develop yourself specifically in these areas

• You work confidently with MS Office, especially Excel, and can analyse financial data in a structured way

• Ideally, you have some leadership experience and enjoy supporting employees both professionally and personally

• You communicate clearly and reliably in German
