Senior Linux & Container Platform Specialist (m/f/d)
Responsibilities:
The core of your role is the architecture of a stable and scalable Linux and Kubernetes platform. You are responsible for RHEL/SLES as well as SUSE Rancher/RKE2 and align the environment for reliable 7x24 operation.
You implement repeatable infrastructure processes with Infrastructure as Code. For Ansible/AWX, you define technical guardrails and are responsible, among other things, for playbooks, roles and collections.
You connect platform operation and security: OS hardening, vulnerability management, certificates, secrets and privileged accounts are considered as well as networking, DNS, load balancing and firewalls.
You carry out technically demanding changes such as migrations, upgrades, updates and release changes as well as the further development of Forgejo-based CI/CD pipelines and overarching DevOps standards.
Your expertise flows into 3rd-level support, major incidents, technology evaluations and the platform roadmap. Additionally, you coach technical teams and participate in the 7x24 on-call service.
Qualifications:
Extensive experience as a Linux, Kubernetes, DevOps or Platform Engineer with responsibility for complex technical environments.
Deep practical knowledge of RHEL/SLES, Kubernetes, Ansible/AWX and Infrastructure as Code; knowledge of SUSE Rancher/RKE2 is ideal.
Experience with CI/CD, highly available business-critical platforms as well as their architecture, automation and standardisation.
Solid know-how in Linux/platform security and the relevant network disciplines; independent technical decision-making ability is expected.
German written and spoken fluently (C2), English at least B2 and preferably French B1. ITIL as well as relevant Kubernetes, Linux, cloud or open-source certifications are welcome.
