Role:
A technically skilled person is sought for the reliable operation of business-critical applications who enjoys analysing problems holistically. The position combines application operation with server, database, network and container technologies and thus offers direct access to the entire technical stack.
Responsibilities:
Operation and further development of internal as well as customer-side applications including installation, updates, monitoring, backup and lifecycle
Taking over tasks in 2nd-level support and sustainable resolution of technical faults
Analysis of error causes across multiple levels - from application and database to network
Automation of deployments and recurring operational tasks with scripting, Ansible and Helm
Integration of applications into a container platform based on Rancher and RKE2
Participation in the further development of the container and platform environment
Support in the area of server, virtualisation and Microsoft 365
Support of internal workplace and IT systems
Qualifications:
Education in IT EFZ, HF, FH or university or comparable practical experience
Experience in operating Linux and/or Windows servers
Knowledge of PostgreSQL, web servers and reverse proxies
Experience with automation and scripting, for example Bash, PowerShell, Python or Ansible
Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker or Rancher is an advantage
Systematic and analytical approach to technical faults
Enjoy identifying causes across various technical layers
Very good German and English skills
