Role:
You ensure that critical applications not only run but can be operated reliably, securely, and automatically.
This position combines system engineering, application operation, and automation. We are looking for an IT specialist who understands technical contexts, solves disruptions analytically, and enjoys making operational processes more efficient with modern tools.
Responsibilities:
Technical responsibility for the stable operation of demanding application and system platforms
Administration and further development of Windows-based server and client environments
Support of virtualised environments and technical platform components
Technical preparation and execution of application releases and deployments
Automation of installation, configuration, and operational processes
Development and maintenance of PowerShell solutions for recurring tasks
Planning and coordination of changes and maintenance activities
Coordination of technical releases with software suppliers and internal stakeholders
Accompanying new software versions from technical review to productive introduction
Handling demanding incidents and conducting structured root cause analyses
Support for 2nd- and 3rd-level problems
Improvement of system stability, performance, and availability
Development of standardised operational procedures and technical runbooks
Ensuring up-to-date and high-quality system documentation
Identification of automation and optimisation potentials
Participation in the further development of the technical operations organisation
Qualifications:
Completed training or further education in computer science, system technology, or a comparable technical field
Solid professional experience in ICT operations, system engineering, or technical application support
Very good knowledge of Windows and Windows Server technologies
Good practical experience with PowerShell
Experience in operating client/server environments
Knowledge of virtualisation and modern infrastructure
Experience in software distribution, release management, or deployment
Understanding of ITIL-based service processes
Experience in structured analysis and resolution of complex technical disruptions
Interest in automation, standardisation, and modern engineering approaches
High personal responsibility and strong problem-solving skills
Customer-oriented and communicative personality
Enjoyment in continuously questioning and improving technical processes
