Role:
Do you want to not only operate complex IT landscapes but also shape them technically? This position combines architecture, cloud engineering, and operational responsibility. We are looking for an experienced individual who designs robust platforms, manages demanding infrastructure projects, and sustainably develops technological standards.
Responsibilities:
Development of modern architectural concepts for cloud, hosting, and enterprise infrastructures
Technical responsibility for highly available and business-critical platforms
Further development of existing system landscapes with a focus on security, scalability, and cost-effectiveness
Design and implementation of hybrid cloud and on-premises architectures
Technical leadership of demanding migration, transformation, and infrastructure projects
Analysis of existing environments and development of sustainable target architectures
Evaluation of new technologies, platforms, and infrastructure components
Definition of technical standards for operations, security, backup, recovery, and lifecycle management
Development of operating models, architectural guidelines, and technical policies
Consulting of business units, customers, and technical stakeholders on complex architectural issues
Planning and support of releases, migrations, integrations, and technical changes
Analysis of complex incidents and conducting structured root cause analyses
Optimisation of performance, monitoring, alerting, patch management, and system stability
Further development of technology roadmaps and cloud strategies
Integration of security, data protection, and business continuity requirements into technical solutions
Professional knowledge transfer and coaching of engineering and operations teams
Qualifications:
Higher education in computer science, business informatics, or a comparable technical field
Several years of experience in systems engineering, cloud engineering, or infrastructure architecture
Solid practical experience with complex ICT infrastructures and business-critical systems
Experience with cloud, hosting, or managed services environments
Very good understanding of modern server, network, storage, and virtualisation architectures
Experience in designing secure and scalable infrastructure and cloud solutions
Practical experience in technical leadership of demanding infrastructure or transformation projects
Knowledge of Microsoft Azure, VMware, Linux, Windows Server, or comparable technologies
Understanding of modern security concepts, IAM, network segmentation, and zero trust
Experience with backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity
Strong analytical and conceptual thinking
Ability to prepare complex technical matters understandably for different target groups
Independent, structured, and solution-oriented working style
Enjoyment of architecture, technology evaluation, and continuous development
